We, Çalık Enerji, are proud to have completed dozens of turnkey contracting projects, including the world's highest budget City Energy Infrastructure Modernization Project, the first Combined Cycle Power Plant established in Turkmenistan, Iraq's largest Simple Online Power Plant, Georgia's first Combined Cycle Power Plant, Libya's largest Power Plant and Al-Khairat Power Plant, which was awarded the “World’s Best Industrial Project” by the journal of Engineering News Record(ENR), that is one of the world’s most respected publications in the field of contracting and engineering in 2014 with the motto of “Appreciate For People, Investment In The Future”. We have carried into effect many hydro-electric, wind and solar energy projects in the field of renewable energy as an independent energy investor and we put the energy coming from the nature to the service of people. We are providing services to 7.2 million users in 13 cities with a capacity of 14 million mWh by touching the lives of more and more people with the services of our affiliates working in the fields of distribution and retail.
While we continue our investments to win the future in economic, environmental and social fields, we work by focusing on our corporate values and sustainability principles in all our fields of activity. We continue to work with inclusive practices by adopting long-term strategies in order to ensure the sustainability of limited world resources. We signed the United Nations Global Compact in 2019 by aiming to act with our sustainability approach in all geographies and all business areas in which we operate. We are planning to expand our portfolio in the field of renewable energy with our 1,000 MW new electricity generation plant investments until 2025 by breaking ground in many sectors in line with its sustainability goals.
