As part of the strategy to improve energy supply to the populations of eastern Angola, on October 4th, a works contract was signed between the National Electricity Transport Network (RNT) and Çalık Enerji on Supply, Construction and Assembly Project for the 220kV Transmission Line and Associated Substations.

The contract was signed on October 4th, by Eng. Rui Gourgel Chairman of the Board of Directors of RNT-EP and by Çalık Enerji Vice General Manager Mr. Selçuk Sayılır.

220kV Dundo – Lucapa – Saurimo – Camanongue Transmission Line Project aims to transfer secure and continious electricity to Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul and Moxico regions. The electricity that would be transferred to the region will be used not only in households, but also in agricultural and industrial sectors. With this respect the project will have a direct positive impact on economic development and welfare of the habitants of the region.
